‘Age is an extraordinary process whereby you become the person you always should have been…

David Bowie

“My passion for travel enables me to see the world through shapes and colour,
and my vision and perspective is constantly influenced by new ideas and changing environments.
Mexico, Peru, Indochina, India and Brazil have inspired me.
Although I do sketch and take many photographs, it’s more the vibe & feeling I have unconsciously digested
that reveals itself in my finished work.

Painting excites me. To me it is visual music and is evolving all the time.
When I complete one I can say I have produced something that is new to this world,
an achievement in itself, whatever anyone might think of it.
Today I feel more free and work more instinctively. I constantly surprise myself.
Each painting is a journey”

Belinda is a self taught multi-disciplined outsider artist.
She produces works of art inspired by mood, travel and music.

Growing up in the swinging sixties in Liverpool, Belinda was heavily influenced by the beginning of the rock/pop generation. Music, fashion, culture and art all became one in this revolutionary time for music.

Amongst Belinda’s heroes and sources of inspiration we find Andy Warhol,
Jean-Michel Basquiat, Yayoi Kusama, and Peter Blake.

Belinda had a successful career in fashion and after surviving some serious health issues she felt it was time for a rebirth. She consequently pursued her heart’s desires and started dedicating her life to what she loves most.
Art and rock and roll.
